Living the Essence - explore yourself "out of the box"

  This retreat invites you to experience the roles, protection mechanisms and limiting beliefs you have taken on in the past, mostly in response to your environment as a kid, and supports you in letting go of what no longer aligns with the truth of your Being. 

For this we are going to use two tools: constellation work and improv theatre.

The Constellation Experience: become aware and outgrow the past

Constellation work today reaches far beyond what used to be known as "family constellation". It encompasses every aspect of life, every aspect of our personality, no matter what their present state and thir history may be, including your most important connection: that to your Being or essential Self.

Setting up a - big or small - "life issue" as a constellation enables you to "look behind the scenes". It makes the energies in and/or around you visible. Thus you become aware not only of the roles you were playing in a specific constellation (family, work, health, spiritual life or towards life in general) but also of the right move, the missing next step, to overcome the blockages. You will be guided to move through whatever inherited belief, program or blindspot you carried which framed your perception and prevented you from expanding materially, emotionally and spiritually into the full potential which you embody. Step by step you regain your capacity to feel, create and interact freely, in alignment with your essence and "outside of the box".

The Theatre Experience: regain playfulness and your power of expression 

Through improv theatre you will explore and strengthen your spontaneity, your capacity to interact with others in the moment, your creativity in defining and deliberately filling out a role in a bigger picture which unfolds through you. The ground rules are simple:

Say "Yes, and...", wherever the interaction leads.

Play! Be as silly as you want. All is welcome.

Active listening - really engage in what your co-actor is doing or saying.

Enjoy to fail. It is actually impossible to make mistakes in this game.

Be a team player. Improv is all about helping each other to be fantastic together.

This basic technique will be combined with mask-work. Masks have a life of their own and allow one to find spaces within that might have felt forbidden or unknown. It brings you into the body, out of the mind and closer to Essence - and it is heaps of fun!

Structure/Organization/Prices

This is a six day/seven nights retreat, with one (probably half) free day in between, starting on Oct 21st in the evening (arrival 3 pm - 7 pm if possible), and ending on the Oct 27th evening. We will have a morning and an evening session each day which will give you time to rest, enjoy the pool or go for a walk, or visit the nearby cities of Mijas Pueblo and Fuengirola after lunch. You could stay on for up to three more days (also spontaneously) if you want more time to integrate or explore the area. Food will be vegetarian, professionally catered. 

House of Inquiry operates on a donation basis, thus in the following we give you our suggestions in order to cover our costs. Full board/dormitory (three beds, shared bathroom):  € 735, full board/double room (attached bathroom): € 875, full board/single room (attached bathroom): € 1100. Please finalize your registration and secure your spot by paying a deposit of 40% of the suggested or agreed workshop fee, according to your first choice of accommodation. Your place is guaranteed once we have received your deposit payment. The deposit is non-refundable but 80% of it will be credited towards a future stay at HOiY if it turns out that you are unable to attend this time.
